Puzzle 29: Apple Pie

Can you make APPLE into a PIE?
You won!

TRIVIA

As American as apple pie?

Apple pie is often seen as an American dish, so much so that it's used to express the ultimate in American-ness, but apple pies were around long before Europeans and for that matter apples came to America.

The first recorded recipe dates back to 1381 in England, although they were quite different to what we think of as a pie today.
