Puzzle 16: Aging

Can you go from YOUNG to OLD?
You won!

TRIVIA

People and most animals age over time, but the reasons and process are not entirely understood.

The main theories of ageing are based on either damage or programmed ageing.

The damage concept looks at how over time there is an accumulation of damage (such as DNA oxidation) that cannot be repaired. The idea is that this just happens as a consequence of normal processes.

Programmed ageing looks at the processes as a having evolved because they provide an evolutionary advantage.
